Event Recap: The State of Long-Term Care Insurance
As a fundamental concern of the 海角论坛 is ensuring that policyholders receive the benefit of their insurance policies when they need it, addressing issues surrounding the market stability of long-term care insurance (LTCI) is a key priority of the organization for 2019 and moving forward. The goal of this Center for Insurance Policy and Research (CIPR) educational program is to examine the LTCI market challenges along with the work of individual state insurance regulators, the 海角论坛, and the industry in addressing these issues. This will be accomplished through three distinct but integrated panel discussions.
Here we provide some brief background material on each of our three panels.
About the 海角论坛
As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the 海角论坛 (海角论坛) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the 海角论坛, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. 海角论坛 staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
