º£½ÇÂÛ̳ Debuts ‘State Connected’: New Three-Year Strategic Plan

Today, during its 2023 Spring National Meeting, the º£½ÇÂÛ̳ (º£½ÇÂÛ̳) announced its new three-year strategic plan, State Connected.

"The insurance industry is consistently and rapidly evolving," said Chlora Lindley-Myers, º£½ÇÂÛ̳ President and Director of the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance. "Our State Connected strategy reflects these changes and strongly positions state-based insurance regulation to continue adapting, growing, and leading in the markets we serve."

State Connected was produced through the guidance and close coordination of º£½ÇÂÛ̳ Officers, the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, members, and staff and provides the best possible foundation for the future of state-based insurance regulation.

The 2023–2025 plan has six key strategic focus areas:

  • Member Connectivity
  • Training, Expertise, and Technology
  • Data and Analytics
  • Consumer Education, Outreach, and Advocacy
  • Committee Governance and Management

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the º£½ÇÂÛ̳ (º£½ÇÂÛ̳) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories.
